Church Website Design
The short answer is - that all depends on you! Don't worry, we have lots of tips and suggestions for you.
The first, and possibly most important is: Who is you audience?
Is your website meant to help your Church Members find out what is happening?
Or perhaps for people to see a bit of what you are about? Or is it to help your Board and
selected Church Members run your organization? Or maybe all three.
If it is one or more of these, you might want to check out TABS Inc.
TABS builds web systems that can meet all three.
Anyway, your first decision is to clearly
define your audience. Then design to meet their needs. See the

Church Website Templates
Just so we are all speaking of the same thing, a website template is just the basic layout
of your website. It's just like your dining room table; let's say you are going to
set it for six. There will be one spot at each end and two along each side.
Each spot will get a plate, with the fork to the left and knife and spoon to the right, etc.
Well that is what a template is, just a basic layout or structure for your web pages.
Generally your Home page and the interior pages will have a similar 'look and fee', in other
words the templates will be the same or similar. If you have an administrative
section to your website, the layout for the pages here might be different from
the 'public' pages, but they will have a similar look and feel to each other.
So basically you will have one or two structures for your website.

Church Website Hosting
Thgere are numerous options for hosting your website. Most options are quite reasonable,
some are downright cheap. But first you need to decide the function of your
website. This will to the definition of the requirements.
So if your site will be just basic information, any reasonable Linux
hosting facility will do. If you want your system to store documents for you,
or allow different groups within the Church to have their own section
for exchanging lesson plans, or discussing a particular topic, you will
first look for a system that can provide that functionality. This system
will usually have specifications for the hosting facility needed.
So after defining your audience, figure out the functionality you would like to
provide them, then consider the hosting environment you need.
